Amidst all the varying ways you can learn the kora, traditional face-to-face lessons are wonderful.  You can join us in France for the group workshops, or at our home in Kafountine, southern Senegal. In the UK, Josh is Adam’s son, a talented performer and an experienced teacher based in Bristol – you can find him on his website info@joshdoughty.co.uk.

It is also worth joining the Facebook Group ‘Learning Kora – Worldwide’ and asking for recommendations, making sure it is clear where you are. It is a group we started many years ago to help teachers and students connect.

We know of several other teachers in the UK and around the world and if you tell us your desired location for a one-to-one private lesson, we can try and find your nearest kora teacher.  Please contact us using the form below.
