If a group workshop is not for you, or the dates don’t work, it is also possible to join us as an individual student. When in France we are based in the Aveyron, and you can join us for a weekend or more of Kora learning. We’re there from June until September (in the UK mid July to late August)
The area is great for walking, cycling and visiting the many local attractions for which this part of France is famous, so if you have a non-kora playing partner there is plenty for them to do.
The tuition, is similar to that of the group workshops and one that guests have found to be the most effective; Adam teaches you throughout the morning, but allowing you the time to practice in between. He is nearby and often carries on making koras.
Many students are interested in the kora-making process; it is all part of the experience. After lunch is your free time but we’re often on hand for more help or advice. If you would like a different arrangement, just ask as we tailor all tuition to the individual – there is no set ‘program’ as no two students are alike..
