We convert existing koras from the traditional leather rings to machine heads. We also repair and adjust both types. A kora can also be customised to suit your own hands, for example some people need a larger bridge to make it easier for them to reach the strings.
To convert an existing kora costs between £150 and £450 depending on the machine heads used, the wood chosen and the condition of the kora body, bridge and strings. A new neck is cut and used for every kora.
